This should be the Number 1 stop for anyone visiting Manchester. From its shops and restaurants to its galleries and theatre shows, The Lowry has it all! Even the building itself is something to behold. Its ship-like appearance through geo-metric shapes, Michael Wilford’s architecture is magnificent to look at.
Looking for a more exciting, adrenaline pumping time? Well how about trying the Aerial Extreme course at the Trafford Centre? With two zip wires and an obstacle course, you are sure to have a great, and an exhausting time! And if the girls don’t want to participate, there is always the Trafford Centre!
With around 200 shops, the Trafford Centre is a great place to visit for any keen shopper. With cafes and restaurants, cinema, play areas and the afore mentioned Aerial Extreme centre, everyone can be kept happy!
A great outing for kids, and adults, the Museum of Science and Industry is a large interactive activity centre to educate us on the industrial roots of Manchester. There is so much to see that the museum gives you a guide of what you shouldn’t miss, just to make sure you get the most out of the experience.
The Imperial War Museum in Manchester allows you to explore the impact the war had, bringing the story to life with real stories and thought provoking exhibitions and displays.
One thing Manchester is well known for, is the famous football stadiums of Manchester United’s Old Trafford and Manchester Citys’ Etihad Stadium. Visit the stadiums to see the history of the teams, see the pitches, the dressing rooms and the trophies.
